Ellen Kushner is an American writer of fantasy novels.

Kushner was innate withwithin Inl& northwest, DC and grew higher in Cleveland, Ohio. Her 1st novel, Swordspoint (1987), and its sequel (with co-joint author Delia Sherman) The Fall of the Kings (2002), come mannerpunk novels set within an fanciful city & its raffish district of Riverside, in which swordsmen-for-hire ply their trade. She is presently writing an additional sequel placed Fifteen years when Swordspoint, known as A Privilege of the Blade, which is published around August 2006.

Kushner's 2nd novel, Thomas a Rhymer, won the World Fantasy Award and the Mythopoeic Award in 1991. Kushner hosts a radio program Healthy & Spirit, produced by WGBH in Boston and distributed by Public Radio International.
